Vogue Knitting is published four times a year, with issues for the Spring/Summer, Fall, Holiday and Winter seasons. You can find the on-sale date for the next upcoming issue on the masthead page of the current issue, in the "How to Reach Us" text box.
How easy or complicated are the patterns?
We offer a wide range of patterns, including a certain number of "Very Easy Very Vogue" patterns that an advanced beginner would have no trouble with. We do, however, presume a relatively high level of experience with most of our patterns; you should know how to cable, work with more than one color and understand how to read charts. That said, we also believe that each knitter's comfort level with difficult patterns is variable; if you feel confident in tackling a new challenge, we are honored that you choose to do so with our patterns.
How can I subscribe?
As easily as clicking on the “subscribe” button on our webpage—we’ll walk you through it. You can also call (877) 860-6164 or fill out the subscription card in your Vogue Knitting magazine and pop it in the mail (postage free!).
I just subscribed. When can I expect my first issue?

How do I order a back issue?
The easiest and fastest way to purchase a Vogue Knitting back issue is to order through our online bookstore. You can also call our customer service number at (877) 860-6164. It’s toll-free!
I'm looking for a particular pattern from an old issue, but I can't remember which one. Can you help me so I can order the issue?
We will do our very best. Send us an e-mail and describe the pattern you’re looking for in as much detail as possible. If you can ballpark the year the issue came out, it would help tremendously. Please do not call our customer service line with questions about locating patterns—you will get help much faster if you e-mail us.
I think there's an error in a pattern. Whom should I speak to about that?
First visit the Pattern Help section, where all of our corrections and clarifications are listed; there’s a good chance that the problem you’re experiencing has already been addressed. If you do not see the answer to your question, please contact our Pattern Help Desk. Just list the issue, page and project number and detail the problem as specifically as you can.
I e-mailed about a pattern problem weeks ago. Why haven't I heard anything?
It takes a while for our pattern experts to sift through the dozens of e-mails they receive concerning patterns as well as general inquiries. And while they’re tackling the pattern questions from previous issues, they’re also working on writing and formatting patterns for the next issue. And not just for Vogue Knitting, but for Knit.1 and Knit Simple as well. We try very hard to address all of your questions and concerns in a timely manner, and we ask for your patience and understanding when we don’t get to them right away. Please allow 2–3 weeks for a response. Feel free to e-mail again if you have not heard back as we sometimes experience computer/internet problems.
How often are the corrections updated?
We update our Corrections page as often as we can. As soon as we receive notice of an error, our pattern editors investigate the problem, and we post the correction online. So be sure to check back frequently so as not to miss an update.
I can't open the PDF for this chart/pattern. What's wrong?
Most likely, the problem is that you don’t have the latest version of Adobe Reader. If this is the case, just click here to download Adobe, and then try to open the PDF again. Be sure that you save the file to your computer before you try to open it. Opening the file during the download process may result in an error message. If you are still experiencing difficulties, contact our Webmaster, and we’ll do our best to figure out the problem.
What is a trunk show?
For every Vogue Knitting issue, we send out a selection of garments that were featured in the magazine. Participating yarn shops display these garments (usually for about a week), giving VK readers across the country a chance to examine certain garments inside and out.
How can I get the trunk show to come to my LYS?
If you are the yarn shop owner, contact our trunk show coordinator. If you are a loyal yarn shop patron looking to get up close and personal with some VK patterns, tell the owner of your LYS about our trunk shows, and have him/her contact us. We’re sure your knitting community will thank you!
How can I submit designs?
When sending us your submission, please take into account the following procedures, which will help us to expedite our communication with you. The more organized and concise your presentation, the more likely we will be to consider your designs. Please bear in mind that we reserve the right to hold and review design submissions until such time as the design selection process is finalized for all publications in a season; this may take up to six months. Please do not telephone or e-mail with inquiries as to the status of your submissions. All submissions will be returned as soon as we are finished with them. Due to space restrictions, we cannot hold all designs that are submitted for the duration of the selection process. Should you receive a few but not all of your submissions back, it means we are holding the balance for possible placement and will return them as soon as the process is complete.
Designs can be either mailed or e-mailed (but not both please). Follow these guidelines for submission:
Mailed Submissions:

• JPGs or PDF files work best for us at 72 dpi only.
• E-mail our design submission department. Please state in the subject line that it is a design submission and for which magazine.
