Cap shaping

Collar
With RS facing, circular needle and MC, beg at left shoulder and pick up and k 16 sts along left front neck, work in rib pat across 22 sts on front neck holder, pick up and k 16 sts along right front neck, then work in rib pat across 50 sts on back neck holder—104 sts. Right front (buttonhole) band
Work to correspond to buttonband, working buttonholes opposite markers when band measures (check)”/1.5cm (by binding off 2 sts for each buttonhole, then casting on 2 sts over each pair of bound-off sts on foll row).

COLLAR
With RS facing, larger needles and CC, pick up and k 98 (98, 102) sts evenly around neck edge (not including front bands). Next row (WS) K2, *k2, p2; rep from * to last 4 sts, k4. Armhole shaping

Shoulder and neckline shaping

Bind off 6 (7, 7, 7) sts at beg of next 4 rows, then 6 (6, 6, 7) sts, at beg of next 2 rows, AT SAME TIME, slip center 34 (34, 36, 38) sts to holder, working both sides at once dec 1 st at neck edge every row twice.

FRONT
Work same as back until piece measures 14 (14¾, 15, 16)”/35.5 (37, 38, 40.5)cm, end with WS row.

Neck shaping

Work 23 (25, 25, 27) sts, slip center 28 (28, 30, 30) sts to holder for neckline, join 2nd ball of yarn, work to end. Working both sides at once, bind off 2 sts at each neck edge once, then 1 st 3 (3, 3, 4) times—18 (20, 20, 21) sts each shoulder. When piece measures same as back to armhole, shape shoulders as for back.

SLEEVES
With smaller needles, cast on 37 sts. Row 1 K2, *p3, k2, rep from * to last 2 sts, end k2. Work for 1¾”/4cm in p3, k2 rib. Change to larger needles and cont in rib pat.

Beg inc sequence

Inc 1 st each side (working incs into rib pat) every 5th row 19 (20, 21, 23) times—75 (77, 79, 83) sts. Work until piece measures 19¾ (20, 20, 21)”/48 (50.5, 50.5, 53.5)cm or desired length, end with a WS row.

Cap shaping

Bind off 6 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 6 (5, 5, 6) sts at beg of next 2 rows, 7 (5, 5, 5) sts at beg of next 4 rows, 0 (4, 5, 5) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Bind off rem 23 (27, 27, 29) sts.

FINISHING
Sew shoulder seams. With circular needle, pick up and k 85 (85, 90, 90) sts evenly around neckline. Work in p3, k2 rib for 8″/20cm. Bind off all sts loosely. Set in sleeves. Sew underarm and side seams.

FINISHING
Sew shoulder seams. With circular needle, pick up and k 100 (105, 105, 110) sts evenly around neck. Work p3, k2 rib for 1¾”/4cm. Bind off all sts loosely. Place markers for armholes 9 (9µ, 9>=, 10)”/23 (23.5, 25, 25.5)cm from shoulder seams. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams.
