Left Front Band
With RS facing and MC, beg at front neck edge and pick up 240 sts evenly spaced along front edge, lower edge of front, and the first 14 rows of side edge. K 4 rows. Bind off.

Right Front Band
With RS facing and MC, beg on side edge of right front at 14th row above cast-on and pick up 240 sts evenly spaced along side edge, lower edge of front, and front edge to neck. K 4 rows. Bind off.

Collar

Finishing
To form rose, lay knitted piece flat and roll it up lengthwise, holding the straight edge tight and allowing it to flare at shaped edge. Fold the shaped edge back to frame the rolled straight edge, tack in place.

Pattern #30 Fringed Shrug

NOTE
Shrug is worked in two pieces and sewn together at center back.

Neck shaping

Pattern says “work 2 rows even”: DO NOT.

Instead, work even until piece measures 8.5 (9, 9.5) inches. Place sts on holder. Work the second half to correspond, reversing all shaping. Join two pieces tog with three-needle bind-off at center back.
